January Plan

Where I'm At:

Last month I held two sessions of comic club, one on character design and creation and the other on writing an effective plot. In order to do these, I had to research quite heavily into each subject and find ways to present them effectively to young students. For my own comic, I decided on a possible storyline, and also did some sketches of the main characters in order to develop my newfound knowledge on character design.

Goals for January:

Research. This month, the only sessions of comic club that need research into them are weeks four and five, as week six I'm holding individual discussions with each student. In weeks four and five, I'll need to research into varying art styles and how to develop them, as well as into simple comics in order to encourage the students to create their own, as practice for their actual comic.

Ideas. Now that I have the final idea for this comic, I need to do a lot more drawing, and develop some concepts for how the individual comic pages are eventually going to look.

Weeks Four, Five and Six of Comic Club - This month, I'm hosting the final three planned sessions of comic club. Weeks Four, Five and Six focus on developing the students' art styles and practicing drawing their own comics, as well as finalising their own comic ideas. I need to figure out how to present this to the students effectively.
